Understanding Privacy Settings


Laytly gives you control over your privacy with a range of customizable settings. Here's how to configure them:


Accessing Privacy Settings


1. Open the Laytly app

2. Go to your Profile

3. Tap on "Settings"

4. Select "Privacy"


Profile Privacy


Control who can see your profile information:


  • **Public**: Anyone can see your profile
  • **Contacts Only**: Only people in your contacts can see your profile
  • **Selected Contacts**: Choose specific contacts who can see your profile

  • To change this setting, go to Privacy > Profile Visibility.


    Media Sharing Privacy


    Control who can see the media you share:


  • **Default Sharing**: Set who can see your media by default
  • **Per-Share Privacy**: Change privacy settings for individual shares
  • **Group Sharing**: Control how your media is shared in group chats

  • To adjust these settings, go to Privacy > Media Sharing.


    Location Privacy


    Control when and how your location is shared:


  • **Location History**: Enable or disable saving your location history
  • **Live Location Sharing**: Control who can see your live location
  • **Photo Location Data**: Choose whether to include location data in photos

  • To manage location privacy, go to Privacy > Location Settings.


    Activity Status


    Control whether others can see when you're online:


  • **Online Status**: Show or hide when you're active on Laytly
  • **Last Seen**: Show or hide when you last used the app
  • **Read Receipts**: Enable or disable read receipts for messages

  • To change these settings, go to Privacy > Activity Status.


    Blocked Contacts


    Manage contacts you've blocked:


    1. Go to Privacy > Blocked Contacts

    2. View your list of blocked contacts

    3. Tap on a contact to unblock them

    4. To block a new contact, go to their profile and tap "Block"


    Data Privacy


    Control how your data is used:


  • **Data Collection**: Choose what data Laytly can collect
  • **Third-Party Sharing**: Control whether your data is shared with third parties
  • **Data Download**: Request a copy of your data
  • **Data Deletion**: Request deletion of your data

  • To manage data privacy, go to Privacy > Data Settings.


    Remember to review your privacy settings regularly to ensure they still match your preferences.
